What’s your environment?

Eating fresh produce, drinking water and exercising daily supplies your body with a healthy internal environment to operate well.

Reading books, studying, learning new skills and topics nourishes your mind and provides a healthy, positive environment for your brain to function.

Surrounding yourself with supportive, loving, and encouraging people provides you with a safe space to be yourself and grow.

Mother nature provides you with a clean, healthy, nourishing and supportive environment for you to live in when in her natural state.

Environments are everything in life from plants to home to science labs.

What I haven’t yet mentioned is the fact that your body is filled with trillions of cells and whatever goes into your body physically, energetically, and mentally, provides a type of environment for those cells to live in.

Cells reproduce all the time. Some last for a few seconds and some last up until your last breath.

Now, have you ever stopped to think about the environment you supply for these cells to grow in? This could be the kind of food you eat, the products you put on your body, to the type of people you surround yourself with.

What about your thoughts and emotions you have every day? Are they positive and encouraging, or are they limiting and counterproductive?

What you subconsciously and consciously think about is what you are ultimately creating in your life. I think they call that Law Of Attraction/ Manifesting.

Want to change the internal environment of your body to be healthier and more positive?

Well I’ve got a few affirmations/ statements to help you achieve that; but before you go ahead and say them, make sure your intentions are pure and free of expectation, because that will keep you exactly where you are!

  • I am happiness
  • I am health and vitality
  • I love and accept myself as I am
  • I love my body, take good care of it and radiate beauty
  • Every cell in my body is health conscious
  • I am gratitude
  • I am love
  • I am positive in all aspects of my life
  • and anything else you would like to make your own in I AM form.

Commit to saying some/one of these daily whenever it feels right to you, and see how they make you feel on the inside. Your environment doesn’t change overnight, nor in just a week, but give yourself a chance to create some positivity in your life.

As within so without.

Who’s accountable?

“It’s her fault, she made me angry and I lashed out!”  Ummm, well actually this is not completely true and would you hate me if I told you that it was YOU that made YOU lash out?

She only made you become aware of the anger that was already residing within you and her words/actions hit your “angry pain” button.

Yes it’s true, no one else can make you feel a certain way except for you as an individual. We can get mad about people disrespecting us, taking us for granted, and ignoring us, but we can only change how we react to them, not in how they choose to treat us. A little bit like “don’t let your happiness be controlled by something you can’t control.”

What is within us can only come to light, just like orange juice can only come from the inside of an orange and not apple or pineapple juice.  No one can pass on anger to us like a baton or a side dish, it is something that is hiding deep within that gets triggered by a memory in our brain and in our body’s cells.

Taking responsibility for your emotions is one of the most empowering things you can ever do. You take power back from the emotion/s and own the way you feel. You become present to how you are feeling and realize that those emotions are yours and they can be changed through conscious awareness.

You can also heal these emotions as you bring awareness to them within the body. As we know emotions are energy that can become trapped in the body if they are not processed at the time they are felt.

It is quite easy to pass responsibility for how we feel and for the state we are in mentally, emotionally and physically. As grown adults we are aware that we can change our internal and external environments through our choices, and if you are not, well I guess you just became aware!

Now responsibility goes beyond juts owning your emotions. It is about accepting that you are at this point in your life through your own decisions, level of work and your belief systems.

The type of relationships you create in your life are through your conscious and unconscious decisions.

The level of happiness in your life is a conscious choice of how you see yourself.

The type of environment you live in is a reflection of your choices on what you like to be around.

Your health status is all about what your lifestyle choices.

Your travels are through your conscious choices to pick those destinations.

Taking accountability and responsibility for your life gives you the driver seat in which way you take direction. It stops others from controlling you on various levels; financially, emotionally, mentally and in career.

Take back your power, empower yourself to becoming who you desire to be, create your dreams and goals into reality and account yourself for making those things happen.

Blaming others can almost be labelled immature. This is what growing up into becoming a responsible adult really means and not just a legal right to buy alcohol and drive because you’re over 18.

The choice is yours.

Yoga

Coming out of an ashram with 200hrs under your belt and a practice of taking a whole 2 classes in an exam setting is far from a preparation to being a teacher to your students.

Headstands after a few rounds of sun salutations? I think not! (and before you ask, no I’m not teaching this, and yes this is what my course in India taught us).

Thank god for my many years of practice and the teachings my invaluable teacher has given me, to help build the practice that I am now sharing with my students.

Yoga is more than downward dogs, handstands and the latest yoga leggings. It is a practice that helps one become centred, aware of their body and emotions, and be completely present in movement with their breath. Healing the body with the breath. It’s all about YOU becoming aware of the real you, your higher self, and all that exists.

From what I see that walks through the doors into my yoga class, people don’t need more physical stress in their lives, they need a reset button, a much needed space for “me” time. Some TLC for their mind and soul that they don’t get a chance to feel outside of their yoga mat.

I’m not going to lie, my students are a stiff bunch, but it’s really no surprise. Years of weight lifting, running, sitting down for long periods every day, physically picking up young children and holding onto emotional stress all adds up to tightness in the body. Your issues truly lie in your tissues.

With yoga being a fad right now, half the female population becoming teachers (myself included), and the media focusing on Circus De Soleil contortions, it’s important to keep note on why one would do yoga.

Powerful flows may feel great, do wonders for the ego, and those 30deg sweat boxes might feel like we are releasing toxins but really it’s more physical stress on our bodies. Give yourself a break! Don’t even get me talking about this ridiculous culture of Beer Yoga!

The benefits of yoga are in their hundreds, both physically, emotionally and mentally. The practice is a lifelong journey. No class or sequence is ever the same, and the more one does yoga, the deeper the connection with your inner self.

Patience, letting go, being present and reconnecting with your breath is all that is needed. Forget your perfect chatarungas, forget how your ass looks in your lululemon tights, and forget your need to be more than exactly where you are.

As for teaching, I’m very much enjoying it. It helps me become a better person in all aspects as one does not like to preach without practicing, but in all honesty I am as much of a student as those in my classes, and that’s probably the best part of it all.

How to get through the Ascension

After last week’s blog many of you got in touch and let me know that you were experiencing some and all of the ascension symptoms I had mentioned.

I was taken aback by some of your experiences and positive responses, and it was great to be able to go deeper with you all in talking about this collective conscious shift. Funnily enough as synchronicity will have it, unpacking my boxes last week I saw  The Ascension Mysteries by David Wilcock that I had purchased right before I left the UK to read once I got back to Australia. Timing couldn’t have been better.

So, it only makes sense to continue on this week with some tips to help you get through this ascension transition, or anyone else you may know of that will benefit from this information.

A site I found quite helpful in my research was AscensionSymptoms. It has a further detailed list of symptoms, what can cause them, and some YouTube links helping explain ascension further.

A small list of what you can do whilst your upgrade is happening:

  • Spend time in nature – DAILY with walks in the park, beach, nature hikes, barefoot on grass
  • Let go –  old thought patterns, emotions, negative beliefs. Some modalities that help  EFT, TEC, energy work/healing, life coaching, sound healing, affirmations.
  • Meditate – best time is in the morning after rising. You can also you guided meditations online.
  • Breathe deeply & Mindfulness (staying present) – connecting the breath with conscious inhalation & exhalation.  Helps clear the energy channels (nadis) in the body and helps controls the mind. By doing this you stay present in he NOW.
  • Salt baths/ Himalayan salt lamps – you can also sprinkle salt on your doorway entrances to keep negativity out of your house/flat/room. Leave for a day or two then hoover.
  • Avoid Fluoride – it calcifies your pineal gland which is key to using your higher senses and intuition. It also has many side effects on your health.
  • Essential Oils – frankincense, lavender, rose
  • Ask –  for guidance, protection and an uplift of your energy in challenging times.

Take some time on your own to really connect with YOU, to listen to inner changes that may be happening and feel what your body needs during this period.

If you have any questions about changes that are happening with you, send me an email, would love to help!

Ascension signs & symptoms

If you are not already feeling the shift that is going on globally then perhaps you might be familiar with some of the symptoms as we go from 3D into 5D (D= dimension). Headaches, increased sensitivity to heat/cold, increase in senses, changes in diet and sleep patterns, seeing glimpses of lights/ shadows, and increase of intuitive feelings.

A Dimension is not a place or location, it is a level of consciousness that vibrates at a certain rate. Planet Earth has it’s own vibration of 7.83Hz, and this is in line with the human frequency. Hence, when we are in nature we feel very connected and peaceful; our vibrations are in alignment.

The higher us humans can raise our vibration, the more dimensions we can consciously experience and access; what we perceive as awareness of reality.

Ascension is happening EVERYWHERE.

Whether you like it or not you are changing, and it not only relates to humans, but to other planets and the entire universe. This is what 2012 signified with the end of the Mayan calendar and not the end of the world as people believed. The end of a consciousness that humanity has been at is now ascending into higher levels.

Ascension you ask?

Well nothing stays the same, it has to grow to learn and to expand and this is exactly what we are doing!

Ascension is an acceleration of vibrational energy and expansion of awareness that leads to a shift of consciousness.

Our DNA is being upgraded into higher levels of BE-ing which means we are being tuned-up and rebooted. Our old programs are beginning to fall away and we are embodying a lighter, more positive, loving and connected vibration.

Changes occur on all levels. Mentally, Physically, Spiritually, and Emotionally.

Before we get to the 5th dimension we first must go through the 4th dimension which acts like a purifying filter. Just like in the chakras the 4th is the heart, so as we go through this shift we are dealing with matters of the heart; love, relationships, doing what your heart desires, healing old emotional traumas, letting go of grief.

It may be of no surprise to you in reading that the following is happening to you or to someone you know as the upgrade occurs: quitting your job for a more fulfilling one; wanting to use the money earned into helping build communities, support projects for better sustainability; ending long term unhappy relationships; divorcing partners; taking on a more spiritual path in life after a death of loved one…

5D

This is where we are ascending to. As a collective we are moving out of a fear based, controlled and suppressed way of life and moving into a loving, peaceful, harmonious unified world working together for peace.

You can see this happening all around you. Plastics ban, unified front against corporations, use of social media to spread awareness, coming together to help in times of un/natural disasters, de-funding projects that negatively impact the planet, helping refugees, creating conscious documentaries, supporting local businesses, animal rights and the list goes on.

We are being brought together in the midst of all the madness, helping each other where we can because this is our true core nature. LOVE.

There are many signs that you are now living in the 5D but here are the 7 basic ones everyone experiences.

  1.  Daily feelings of joy, lightness, love and wonder, spacious, light, deep gratitude
  2.  Heavy negativity will release easier. Learning how to let go. Releasing lifetimes of old traumas will happen in minutes/ seconds rather years.
  3.  Increase in senses, will experience the world with greater beauty as colour spectrum will be wider
  4.  Time will feel more fluid, eternal and illusory. No ill feelings toward how things are done. Understand that you are infinite.
  5. Constant unexplained synchronistic experiences and manifestations. Daily even!
  6.  A knowing/feeling guided by something higher than your mind and imagination, greater silence, greater feeling of safety.
  7.  Ability to access multidimensional body.
    (all matter = energy + consciousness : time + space = illusion)
Anything you can imagine you can experience, time travel, be in 3 places at once.

I’m not manifesting that fast yet, and I would certainly like to be in different places at the same time, but it’s a process and it could take me another decade or so to really feel this shift. However, the more meditation I do, the more raw vegetables my diet consists of, and the more time I spend time doing what I love, the transition into higher living will certainly happen faster.

The exciting thing that I mentioned earlier is that yes, we are coming together, we are believing that there is more to life than bills, ticking the boxes of the system, and sticking to what we know. There is a huge shift going on with people becoming more aware of their actions on this planet, becoming more conscious of future generations and what can be done, changing resources for greater sustainability, less spending on materialism, a greater oneness that we are all in this together on this beautiful planet.

Don’t take the shift too seriously! Life is a process of growing, learning and healing. We are conscious energy and we have infinity to work on ourselves and experience life as we choose.

We are not alone in this process of ascension. There are things, beings and energies I cannot explain or know about that are helping humanity through this transition.

As we rise, the negativity and heaviness departs, as it cannot survive in higher vibrations and this is why raising your frequency is so important. Remember the higher your vibration the healthier and happier you are and more aligned with WHO you are.

Perhaps those headaches you are experiencing is your consciousness expanding.

Support is more than just a push up bra

Well, sometimes we just need a hand. We have exhausted our own engines and booster buttons, and we need some encouragement from those around us.

Sometimes support comes in the strangest of ways (ie. social media), but it is welcomed nonetheless.

Our very first supporters in life are usually our parents and family environment. As we grow older it expands to our friends, school environment, teachers, fellow team members and so on.

Then we hit adulthood. Things can change greatly with life commitments, new family additions, new locations and different time zones. Support can dwindle and create feelings of unworthiness, and in many cases we push away support due to our pride.

Support in life is essential to moving forward and growing. It comes from a place of love, and that is the essential core of all things. Without love, it won’t work and it won’t last.

Take a look at your body for example. Hundreds of billions of cells support each other for your body to function every single day, and your body alone is a support vessel for your soul to carry out life experiences. Without bones, muscles, tissues, fuel, reproduction and energy systems you could not exist.

Support is instrumental to being happy, healthy, successful and in growth. It is nature’s way.

Just take a look at animals and how they support each other when they are being hunted down by predators. Even trees are known to rest their branches on other trees for support as they sleep at night. What about humans coming together in times of need? It is ingrained in life.

Support isn’t always monetary and it’s not just found online. It can be from a simple phone call to ask how one is, to babysitting for the next few hours while your friend works on her new online bikini business. The smallest gesture can be the greatest leap for another.

We all need some guidance. We all need some help. We all need some advice in our careers, relationships and with ourselves at times. We can even strengthen bonds when we ask for support. Honestly, how good does it feel when someone you care about asks you for your time and help?

So in closing this little post today, make it a point on your weekly goals for this week to send some love to your friends, and let them know you are available for help if they require. Take an extra 10mins with your colleague at work to ease their stress levels (this may also be you that needs that extra 10mins). Help promote your favourite food company’s new product that you love…somebody else’s taste buds might just benefit.

We are all in this together. Support what you believe in, support with what you are able to, and as life has it, what goes around comes back to kiss you.

The heavy metal type you don’t want

Some of you may already know that if you consume a lot of seafood, especially tuna and shellfish, you are increasing the chances of high levels of mercury in the body, especially in the bloodstream.

Before I go into the effects of heavy metal toxicity and what you can do to help remove them from the body, lets see how they become present in our bodies.

Metals exist naturally in the earth, in space, in products we consume and wear, foods and drinks we consume, in elements of all matter including our bodies. They can be found everywhere and some are more toxic than others.

Heavy metals can be ingested, inhaled, and/or absorbed into our bodies.

They become toxic to our health when specific metals such as aluminum & mercury are present in higher concentrations.

The 5 most common toxic metals that affect your health are:

  • Mercury fish (swordfish, tuna), in dental amalgams, certain vaccines. Any exposure/ consumption is toxic to the body.
  • Lead – lead-based paint (old homes), drinking water, tobacco smoke
  • Cadmium –  contaminated water, foods, released into the from mining
  • Aluminum – deodorants, foil, cans, processed cheese, toothpaste, refined foods, baking products, over the counter drugs
  • Arsenic – pesticides, some cottons, soil, contaminated water, rice

Side effects of some of these heavy metals include and are certainly not limited to:

Tiredness, irritability, depression, anemia, Alzheimer’s disease, brain dysfunction in children and lowering of IQ in adults, hypertension, lowered immunity, poor liver and kidney function, cancer, headaches, and memory loss.

Heavy metal toxicity can be removed from the body with some of the following tips.

The first step is to reduce your usage of aluminum in the kitchen, and also find self-care products that do not contain aluminum. Just think how many times a year you apply deodorant under those armpits and what glands are close there…

Increase your water intake. Make sure you are hydrated well to be able to flush out the toxins in your system.

If you have mercury fillings in your teeth, it might be an idea to find a dentist who can help remove them carefully and replace with a safer alternative. Also avoid any unnecessary vaccinations.

CHLORELLA!
This is a brilliant health supplement, which is a green algae that not only removes heavy metals from the body, but is also rich in vitamins, minerals and anti-oxidants to boost your immune system and functions of the body, and also counteract any effects of toxins/metals on your health.

Coriander/Cilantro is another great super herb that helps detoxify, as well as containing anti-microbial, anti-inflammatory, and essential oil properties.

Having regular saunas will allow you to sweat out toxins and metals in your body through your skin’s pores.

Other foods that help to remove heavy metals in the body are garlic, pectin, milk thistle seeds, fermented foods, and sulfur rich foods such as spinach, broccoli, kale and watercress.

It’s always a good time to give your body a boost with a detox.

If you are suffering from any of the symptoms above, then I would highly suggest you see a naturopath, homeopath, gut specialist, or a medical practitioner that can help with identifying metal toxicity in the body. Various blood tests may show indications of toxicity.
